A former Trader Joe’s employee says that he was fired for advocating for increased corporate COVID-19 safety precautions, particularly for requesting that employees be given the ability to remove maskless customers from stores.
On Friday, NYC resident Ben Bonnema tweeted that he had just been fired from his position as a crew member at Trader Joe’s store 545 on New York’s City’s Upper West Side because of a letter he sent to the company’s CEO asking for additional coronavirus workplace safety measures….
